NGSB Terminology

Code Check

A code check is a programmatic operation performed against general ledgers. It reads through each line in the general ledger and performs validations configured by the NGSB team in order to provide feedback for line items that are incorrect or could be improved.

Entity

An “entity” is synonymous with “school district”. They are the primary membership object within NGSB, and users will need to select which entity they want to perform operations on before they can run code checks, generate reports, etc.
