How to Manage Schools in a District¶
This document explains how to add, update, and delete schools related to a specific school district. This information is crucial for generating accurate reports in NGSB, so it is worth taking the time to verify that all information is correct.
Note: Only Administrators and higher can update school information within a given school district.
Note: These changes will not affect reports that have already been generated. You will need to reupload your general ledger and regenerate the reports for these changes to be included in the final documents.
Navigate to the Schools Tab¶
Follow these steps to view the schools associated with a school district. These steps must be completed before managing the schools.

Log into NGSB using your credentials.

On the left side of the navbar, locate the entity selector. If you haven’t navigated anywhere else yet, you can also select the entity in the center of the screen.

Click on your avatar in the top right corner of the screen.

From the dropdown menu, choose Entity Settings.

- In the Entity Settings menu, select the Schools tab.
Add a School¶
Follow these steps to add schools to a district in NGSB:

Click the Add School button in the top right corner of the Schools table.

A form will appear in a modal, prompting you to enter all the relevant information regarding the new school.

Once you have entered all the required information, click the Save School button to save the new school’s information.

After saving, you should see the new school’s information added to the Schools table.
Update a School¶
Follow these steps to update existing schools attached to a district in NGSB:

Find the school that you would like to update in the Schools table and click the Edit button on the right side of the row.

A form will appear in a modal, populated with all of the selected school’s current information.

Once you have updated all fields that you would like to change, click the Save School button to save the new school’s information.

After saving, you should see the new school’s information added to the Schools table.
Delete a School¶
Follow these steps to delete a school currently attached to a district in NGSB:

Find the school that you would like to delete in the Schools table and click the Edit button on the right side of the row.

A form will appear in a modal, populated with all of the selected school’s current information.

Find and click the Delete button in the bottom left corner of the modal. A prompt will ask if you’re sure that you want to delete the school. Click the Yes button to commit and delete the school.

After saving, you should no longer see that school’s information in the Schools table.
